No News Good News For Obama

In one of the more forgettable debates in recent memory, Barak Obama was the winner if for no other reason than he had no unforced errors and avoided one more potential pitfall on the way to the Presidency. McCain needed to damage Obama somehow, and according to most pundits failed to do so. With less than four weeks to go before the election, McCain is clearly running out of time.

The good news on this debate is that it is over. I thought it was incredibly boring.

The candidates spoke to each other more directly in this debate than in the previous two. Judged from that (perhaps narrow) standpoint, it was the best debate of the three (which admittedly is not saying a whole lot).

Oops, sorry -- the post was about the second debate, and my comment was about the third. Should have checked the date on it before attacking the keyboard.
